It was great to hear the news early this week that Connor Sherlock from Year 10 had competed at the All Schools State Athletics Championships held at Homebush in Sydney.

Connor performed extremely well at these NSW championships placing 5^th in the state for the Discus. A great achievement! Connor bettered that when he defeated the former National Champion to take out 1^st place in the Shot Put with a throw of 15.21 metres.

That’s right, Oberon High School and Western Region are very proud of Connor’s achievements. Connor is now to compete at the Australian Championships to be held in Tasmania early in December 2009. Good luck Connor from everyone in Oberon.
